Why The Masjid
Project
This is a unique project as there is not a single mosque within Bracknell and the surrounding area.
Project Progress
The growing number of Muslims in Bracknell are reliant on hiring public venues: Prayer room for the daily prayers, Bracknell Leisure Centre for the Jumma prayers and the Open Learning Centre taraweeh prayers and also to facilitate education learning and development for the community in Bracknell.
Alhamdulillah our local council has just approved the Masjid planning application for the building in the brochure attached to establish a 1st Masjid and Islamic Centre in Bracknell. The building (approx. 12,500 square feet) and is close to Bracknell Town Centre. It will provide the community with sufficient space to:
- Quran, Islamic Study and Special skills classes
- Youth programs and extra-curricular activities
- Counselling services to Muslims within the community
- Chaplaincy service to give advice and support to members where appropriate and give Dawah of Islam to the wider community
- Nikah and Civil Marriage Ceremonies
